MacBook 13 late 2008 top lid

Does anyone know if i can get anywhere top lid for this model of macbook? Im searching ebay and i can only find for 2011+. I only need lid without lcd. And you if anyone know for reasonable price.

I'm assuming you mean the late 2008 plastic (white, or black), and not the aluminum unibody Macbook, which is also called late 2008

If you DO want an aluminum one, those are not so easy to find. The cover was not available from Apple as a separate part, only the complete display assembly.

Yes unfortunately i need aluminum. So there is no chance to get original? Thanks for reply

The back cover was not available as a service replacement part from Apple.
Looks like powerbookmedic.com has them, but will be a used part, pulled from another Macbook.

The replacement of that part will not be easy. You will need a heat gun to release the adhesive.

You will see how challenging this repair will be - and how likely you will damage the back or the glass when pulling it apart.
And, you have to go through the glass removal process to get at the LCD panel.
Transfer all internal parts to the replacement back cover. It will likely be very easy to break the glass as you remove it, so you might consider getting a glass cover at the same time that you get the back cover, but that's just what I would do.
