Good day all, I had powered up my macbook as normal then got the message in the middle of the screen the I had to hold the power button. I did that and the unit restarted and then got no display but a solid light on the front of the unit, and didn't go any further. When I removed the battery completely and run off ac power only the unit works perfectly. I was wondering if anyone has any insight to this. Thanx.

logic board? kernel panic?

What exactly did the message say? Was it a kernel panic? You probably need to take that MB in to an apple store

Try clearing the SMC settings by removing the battery and power adaptor. Then press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds. This will reset the system management controller...

If after your MacBook still refuses to work correctly, you'll need to seek service from Apple...
