Hello. Yesterday, for the first time, I accidentally heard a strange sound coming from the Macbook 16" M1 max. When bent from side to side in your hands, you hear something moving. The sound comes from the front of the display. If it was just a sound, it wouldn't seem bad to me, but the shocks are quite felt. It's like a clicking sound. With the display open, it is also audible but much fainter.

Some people at Reddite have discussed this and said that it may be a light cable.

I was in two stores today and not a single Macbook 16 "had this problem.

Fishrrman:
Don't "bend" your Macbook, and you won't hear the sound.

When to tilt it. Sorry for the bad term "bend"

I had the same experience yesterday too, I have an appointment to take mine in today. Unacceptable. I went in as well and none of them make this noise. I even tested out an old PC at the house and it doesn't do that either.

At first I thought it was overthinking. But today I tried another 2 in the store and neither of them had it. Lol, on the outside, it looks like a solid and solid piece of brick, and probably no one expects something to move inside.

Can you let me know how it turned out?

Just got my laptop back last night from FedEx. It went to apple depot, they said they couldn't find or hear it? weird... They ended up "tightening" up some components inside and replaced my entire screen. It's slightly still there, but way less than it was before. I might end up taking it again at some point if it gets worse or I feel it again... NOTE: In order for me to feel it now, I have to shake it hard, and that's unnecessarily hard.

What about the fans, and all the power and data cables that are inside a laptop. It's actually more amazing that some don't make any noise.
