macbook 2.4 4/250 or powermac dual g5 2.5 /2.5/250

hi all
i'm new here so please bear with me.

ok i have a macbook 2.4 ghz with 4 gigs of ram 250 hd ect black
i use it for audio recording and i love it i run logic 8 and dp 5
any way i would really like to get a powermac g5 dual 2.5 ghz
has 2.5 gig or ram and a 250 hd its liquid cooled and has been refurbished
so my question is is my macbook 2.4 ghz 4 g ram better than
the powermac g5 dual 2.5 ghz 2.5 g ram and will it run
logic 8 as well i have only had one other apple desk top
which was a g4 450 and every other apple has been a laptop
so if any one could help me out with a decision that would be
awesome
oh by the way i would be swapping my macbook for the g5

In any other situation, I'd say yeah, go for it. But the liquid cooled G5's were notorious for the many problems they had....

thanks but could you maybe elaborate on some of the issues they had
im not very familiar with them im am googling and i see alot of positive reviews so far
