Macbook 2006 replaced keyboard track pad button not working.

i got a macbook 2006 i had spilled tea on my keyboard so it wasn't working for a couple of years. i decided to replace the keyboard but i couldn't get my hand on the exact model but i found one that fits i got it for around $100 its new. some of the keys are on different sides but the keyboard and track pad work fine and the trackpad button clicks but i don't think the macbook receives any signals. any ideas on how to fix this?

It's probably a faulty part.
