I upgraded the RAM in my dad's MBP 17" to 8GB, and he gave me the old 4GB of RAM. It is 2x2GB 1066mhz RAM, so would it work in my MacBook that wants 667mhz? I don't mind if it isn't as fast as it could be...

If nobody knows I will try it and come back with the results.

It will not work, as the MBP your dad has uses 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM modules and a MacBook from 2006 uses 200-pin DDR2 SO-DIMM RAM modules, thus they are physically not compatible, and a logic board using DDR2 RAM can't use DDR3 RAM.

See here for more information.
