Hi guys, just noticed there is some swelling on the plastic panel on bottom of my white late 2009 MacBook model. What is this problem do you reckon and should i take it to Apple? I don't have Apple care anymore but not seen this before. Attaching pics.

Same thing happened to mine...it was late at night so I didn't worry about it...but next morning, darn if i didn't have 3 more tiny little macbooks on desk!

ps: i would take it in

Could be the battery, I'd get that looked at fast and not use it until you've had it looked at.
No its nothing that bad.

This happened to me with my 2010 I take it that you have a 2009 unibody model. This problem looks far worse than it is so don't worry all it is the glue holding on the rubber base has decided to give up but apple being amazing recognised this problem years ago http://www.apple.com/support/macbook-bottomcase/. Just make a genius appoint and they will replace the base like they did for me.
