Macbook (2010) 7,1 slow boot after ssd upgrade

I upgraded my wives macbook to 8gbs ram and a 128 owc mercury ssd.

I was kind of shock that after I installed the ssd the boot time was slower. Between the blank screen and the apple logo particularly. From the apple logo to usable desktop was incredibly fast.

What should I do?

System pref-> startup-> select-> restart
