I have a Macbook bought mid-2013 which has had some issues.
1. The computer went black and would not turn on. Apple repairer "reseated some cables" and managed to get it working again.
2. The hard drive died and was replaced under warranty. New hard drive isn't all quiet.
(They updated my system from 10.8 to 10.9, but original software such as iPhoto etc are missing.)
3. Two months later, the screen starts going black intermittently. The day after, the computer would not start up, and I had to reinstall. Since the apple repairer installed the system, I had to take it back to them to use software recovery as the app store did not accept my Apple ID.
All this has meant data loss, downtime and perhaps hair loss. And now it's out of warranty.
How do I get the repairers to install a software recovery system that I CAN USE? Apple is getting really annoying with its insistence for having to connect to them for me to reinstall my system.
Is my Macbook turning into a frisbee? What is going on with it?
