Macbook 2014 and Linksys AC1600/EA6400

So I'm thinking about upgrading my router after many years and since on Black Friday it's a decent price on this Linksys.

My question is... how do i configure or setup without ethernet connection to my macbook? I'm assuming there is a way...

Would you prefer Netgear AC1750 or Linksys AC1600?

I would go for the Netgear router for several reason. Beside Apple router, Anetgear was the only other router that wasn't affected, Security Failings in home routers.

Plus since you use Macs the Netgear Nighthawk routers support Time Machine.

I suggest the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900.
