Macbook (2016) made "pop!" noise, then the screen did this...

Any suggestions? It's a recent purchase (just under two weeks) but I'd much prefer to keep it than exchange it if at all possible.

Wow! That doesn't surprise me though - especially since you said it made that popping sound. Yikes! I'm glad you have a new computer that you don't have to worry about.
