I've done some re-sale value searching online, but due to upgrades and possible software incentives, I was throwing this out to the community for a possible price check.

Base Model:
2GHz Core 2 Duo
Intel GMA 950
1GB 667MHz RAM
80 GB 5400rpm HD

Current Setup:
2GHz Core 2 Duo
Intel GMA 950
4 GB (3.3) 667 MHz RAM
500 GB 7200rpm HD (80 GB in an enclosure for music/video backup so can be put back in)

Gets a $458 "Good" or $343.50 "Fair" trade in value from Best Buy, miniscule $171 from SellYourMac, Gazelle does $115, etc. for just the base stats.

Note: Top case has been replaced, so looks pristine. Battery was replaced, but treated bit roughly so at 80% health after 209 cycles (a reliable 2.5+ hours on half dim, web browsing, light doc writing).

I just wonder if it's appealing to throw in a bunch of appealing software that I don't really use anymore that could affect selling price:

- Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac (full)
- Rosetta Stone 3 (German 1-5, Italian 1-3)
- Adobe CSS 5.5 (full)

An appealing option is using Best Buy and buying an Amazon/Apple gift card with the funds, but wondering if I could do better elsewhere (and preferably for cash). I'm not a big fan of eBay/CL, but could look into that once I figured out the actual max value. I do have access to the Marketplace here, but felt this post was more suited for this forum. I'm looking for a new computer probably post-Ivy Bridge, but can sell relatively quickly and wait for that.

Thanks for any price advice.
