Macbook 3.1 RAM compatible

hi everyone,

i have already get a 2 x 2GB banks of ram for my macbook 3.1.

this is the caracteristics:

2GB 2Rx8 PC2 - 6400S - 666 - 12 - E3

and i've installed and when i turn it on it doesn't works.

Now the computer it's working with 2 banks x 512MB with this caracteristic:

512MB - 2Rx16 PC2 - 5300S - 555 - 12 A3.

Can someone tell me if it's compatible that banks with my laptop?

Or suggest me what would be the problem?

Your mb 3,1 is compatible with PC2 5300 667 MHz. PC2 6400 is 800MHz and will not work with your MB. Make sure that the memory is of low density RAM.
