Hi all, I've been trying to install windows 7 along side snow leopard on my older macbook. The bootcamp assistant partitions the disk successfully, and it prompts me to put in my windows 7 disk. (it's odd that is specifically asks for 7, because I remember snow leopard asking for vista and xp...)
After I put in my windows disk (I tried both x68 and x64 versions), It shows up on the desktop and I click the start installation button. The macbook reboots and I get a blinking white cursor on a black screen, which is telling me that the macbook is at least attempting to boot windows, but it will not actually ever get to the "Windows is loading files...." window, it just hangs at the cursor forever and eventually the disk stops.
I have tried resetting the PRAM, but not the SMC.
One other thing to note is I applied the EFI update for new new style chargers recently (I got the computer running leopard provisioned from my school, so I wiped it and installed SL), if that has anything to do with it...
Thanks
