I recently installed macOS Catalina on my old 2008 5.1 MacBook, a few years ago I had already tried upgrading the RAM to 8 GB, but failed, I had to use a 1GB stick and a 4GB stick. Then I found out I need to update the bootrom to version MB51.007D.B03, which can be updated with 1.4 official firmware update. Now that I'm trying to do so, I get a message that says that I do not have the correct OS to install this package. Does anyone know how to solve this? Here's the installation log output:

You need to install a version of macOS that's natively supported on that computer. If you install 10.11.6 and all the security updates for it, you should end up with a later firmware revision than the standalone updater.
