Macbook A1181 Screen replaced, but not backlight flashes then stops working

So I got a macbook A1181 but its screen was all busted up so I bought one from laptopscreen.com/English/ and replaced my screen last night but when I now turn on the laptop The backlight flashes on for a second then goes off, making it extremely hard to see anything on the screen. TO make things works is the screen brightness buttons are not working and there is no brightness sliders under system preferences. My macbook is running OS x 10.4.6

I also had it hooked up to an external monitor and updated a fix that was suggested to me by the software update and now all the macbook does is flash a white screen and goes black. No chime, no nothing just a split second white flash and then black.
