Macbook ad hoc with Apple TV

I was wondering if there is any way to hook up the apple TV to a macbook pro Wirelessly? since I have no router at home, I tried with ethernet and if works, but i want to take advantage of the wireless...also I tried to create a network in my macbook but the apple tv just wouldn' t show up....any tips?

I don't believe ATV2 supports Adhoc networks.

Cant you just use internet sharing on the mac side under sharing?
