Hello,

I just received my new MBA 11" today and noticed following strange behaviour:
When I try to click on something in the lower screen area (let's say pixel 0-256 of 768), sometimes the clicks don't get registered (but the touchpad is working fine).

The fix is to move the cursor to the middle, move the window around and everything works again.

This happened to me with iTunes, Chrome, Calibre and some other apps.

Does anyone know what this can be?

Thanks a lot.

Cheers

I know the track pad in not responsive on the lower 4 or 5 mm toward the bottom. This is confirmed in another thread. Are you sure that when lowering the mouse that you are not at the bottom of the trackpad which makes it seem like the screen when it is the trackpad?

Thanks for your reply :)

The trackpad is fine
- my finger position on the trackpad can be anywhere (top, bottom etc.) and
- it's recognizing my move gestures (e.g. moving the cursor)

What is not working is that when I'm in the lower area of the screen
- clicking (touch or tap)
- scrolling (browser)

Any other ideas what this could be? It must be some kind of software error, but I can't figure out what it is..

Found a solution, it was my fault. I changed a few things regarding my Dock (Transparent Background) and one of the PNG's was not correctly sized. Doh!
