MacBook Air 13 2017 - flex

Hi guys,
A new MacBook Air 2017 13 owner. If you press around the glowing apple logo - is there a small amount of flex to the casing? Just surprised me for some reason.

I'm not surprised because the casing has been cut away to allow the Apple logo to shine through

In order to remove any flex, the lid would have to redesigned with thicker aluminum and internal braces which would result in a thicker and heavier MacBook.

The same thing would happen with any 13" notebook if one were to press hard enough.

I recommend not pressing on the lid of any notebook.
