Hey guys, I received a MacBook Air that has water damage.
I opened it up cleaned it out decently, going to open it again when I have more time to clean it out properly. But I haven't found any traces of water damage yet, the only thing I did find was a Water Indicator that turned red (just one) which was on the ribbon cable connecting the MagSafe Logic Board with the Main Logic board (I believe this is some audio cable thing if I'm not mistaken) which makes me think the MagSafe Logic Board might be broken, to support this conclusion, when I connect the power adapter, the light on the MagSafe connector doesn't turn on, it doesn't turn orange or green.
Now I hope that the MagSafe board is the only thing that's broken and that the battery is empty thus not powering on with just the battery connected. (I understand this is an optimistic view haha) but the Water Indicator on the back of the battery is still white (Just like the one in the corner of the Main Logic Board under the cable that's secured with a metal "rod")
So I'm probably going to order a new MagSafe Logic board and replace the old one, but before I do I'd like to hear of things I explicitly need to check.
(Also, is there a way to check if the battery is still good with a multimeter? I can't find any pin layouts.)
Thanks in advance.
