I’m trying to find an LAV microphone (lapel clip) for my Macbook Air 15 M2 that hits the sweet spot regarding sound quality and price. I don’t need wireless. Some models (Sennheiser) have numerous complaints about too low input with USB-C. Others say the headphone jack won’t accept mic input, except my ancient iPhone wired buds work when plugged in. Anyone have a recommendation . . . USB-C or headphone jack input??

They are two speakers with a microphone, so maybe a sole microphone input wouldn't work? If a USB-C input is too low, you could raise the gain in System Settings or fix the audio afterwards in software.

I’m not sure what the software fix is . . . but USB-C reviewers near universally conclude that the gain setting in System Settings is incapable of enough boost. Anyone got a setup they like for a LAV mic on this model?
