MacBook Air 2009 for programming on iOS

First of all I introduce myself, my name is Jose Manuel and I live in Venezuela.

I own a New iPad and it made me think about programming for iOS but I have a PC with Windows 7, so I intended to buy a Mac to get started in programming seriously. The problem is that in my country the Apple products are expensive, so I consider purchasing a MacBook Air model MC234LL/A (A1304) of 2009.

What worries me is that it is an older model and not if you get your power for programming in iOS. Imagine also left out of a future update of OS X is so old that, for me this raises a question. Is it worth buying?

Mountain Lion will run on that model Air - but you'll only have 2GB of RAM and the slower 1.8" SSD

If I were you I'd get an older MacBook Pro - As they're upgradable and you'll get better specs for your money
