Macbook Air 2011 Sata II or Sata III?

As the title suggests really. Also, are there any differences between the 128gb and 256gb models, or the Samsung and Toshiba models?

The ssd;s used are sata 2. The laptop itself is sata 3 capable, so when suitable sata 3 blade ssd's come around, you will be able to upgrade to that

In MacBook Air You can't upgrade drive.

So far as the 2011 machines are concerned, they are SATA III. Modern Airs use much faster PCIe flash storage. Realize that this thread is from 2011.

Yes SATA III 6 GB. Yes you can upgrade the SSD. Best one is Transcend JetDrive.
