Macbook air 2012 13" screen sudden red tint

So i'm sitting at the airport and the screen of my macbook air is fine. Have to check in so I get all my items xray scanned. Now i'm in the departure lounge and I open up my macbook air to discover the screen has a very red tint to it. Tried rebooting it, tried jiggling the hinge, tried resetting the PRAM but nothing works.

Anyone heard of this happening?

I've never heard of it, but mine has been through 100+ xrays at airports without any issue, so it can't be that. Can you stop by an Apple store?
