I replaced the display on my MacBook air and when re-assembling, I noticed that one of the connectors on the WiFi/Bluetooth card that mates with a wire from the display was broken off. Despite this, WiFI and Bluetooth work normally.

Does anyone know why this card even connects to the display?

Those are the wifi antennae.. They really should both be connected.. You may still work ok but I have to think eventually it will over work your radio. I'm not 100% sure which is which but I believe one is for the 2.4 gig radio and the other for the 5gig radio. It's too bad one broke.. bummer. Maybe you could find one somewhere. I now have a parts machine for issues such as that..

Oh yeah! I knew it was the antennae but when I saw that something was broken I just went limp and blanked out. Realistically, the connector on the card still has the pin in the middle - it's just the ring around the pin that's gone, so the antenna wire won't clip into place. I don't see why I can't just hold the antenna wire against the pin and then crazy glue it into place? I'm assuming crazy glue is non-conductive so it should be fine?

crazy glue May be non-conductive, but the outer connector ring is to be in direct contact with the ring that should be on that board. it's been a while since I had mine apart, but it may be possible to solder it on..but you run the risk of damaging it. You'd most likely be better off trying to find a replacement one on eBay or internet somewhere..
