Macbook Air 2012 - ML uses more memory?

Hi,

I installed ML on my wife's i5/4/256 MBA the other day. One thing that I've noticed is that it seems to be using more memory than Lion did. On Lion, I used to start out with almost 3GB free. With ML, I start out with 2.4GB free. Given that this is only a 4GB model, I'm concerned about any memory being used. Right after reboot, I get:

Free: 2.4GB
Wired: 971.9MB
Active: 578.5MB
Inactive: 80.4MB

I don't have much installed on it right now, so there really isn't much running. Is this normal?
