MacBook Air 2012 urgent help

Hey guys tried resetting my mac to factory settings, everything runs smoothly until I get to disk utilities then hit macintosh hd to erase and nothing, cannot for the life of me click on erase, any suggestions?

Try to click on the hard drive with a model number like "xxx.xx GB APPLE..." and then click erase. If you are booted up into the OS, then it won't work, so make sure you are booted into recovery HD by holding the "command" and "r" keys at the same time at boot up when you press the power button.
