hi guys, which would you prefer to use for 3D softwares like Autodesk Maya? I'm doing some Modelling, Rendering for Interiors and some basic animations. and also is Macbook air good at doing some adobe after effects compositing?

thanks. God bless

Macbook Air isn't made for rendering stuff. It's probably best for you to buy the pro but if you need a good machine for rendering, go for the 15" retina Macbook pro. It has a good graphics card, great processor and well plenty of ssd space!

Neither is particularly suitable for those tasks.

You really need some extra oomph. Perhaps a 2012 15" cMBP or a 15" rMBP.

You need quad cores and ideally a dGPU.

Neither.

You need a minimum of quad-core Intel Core i7 and a discrete GPU.

Which means, only the highest-end 15" will do the job.
