Non Retina? If it's a non Retina model I'd take the Air anyday. Retina I'd probably go the Macbook Pro

FYI the MBP will 'feel' much slower than the MBA because it has a HDD - modern OSX hates running on a HDD and will bog down.

2013 MBA has a very very fast SSD (faster than many modern 2.5" SSDs), and will feel a lot faster. However the 128GB SSD on the MBA is very small for running Creative Suite.

I advise adding to your budget the cost of putting a SSD in the MBP, or for the MBA, buying either an external USB3 drive or a 128GB SDXC mini-flash drive.

(I have this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/PNY-StorEDGE-Expansion-MacBook-Display/dp/B00DC9U2Q8 and it works well with little impact on battery life. You can also get USB3 mini drives, but they stick out a few mm more and use much more battery.)
