Macbook Air 2015 with 10.10 Yosemite ?

My girlfriend is running an older Macbook Air 2015 with Yosemite 10.10.4,
And i wanted to ask, Should she update it to the latest MacOS or not ?
Would the latest update cripple her Macbook Air, because of the older hardware?

I would absolutely update to a newer OS. I recommend Mojave in case she has any old apps that are 32bit. A 2015 Air will run it easily.

My advice:
DON'T upgrade to Catalina. For too many people, it's "a bag of hurt".

I'd suggest Mojave instead.
Much better.
