Got a good deal on it Xmas 2017, but ended up liking my 2012 Macbook Pro 13" and I never opened the box on the Air. What should I do with it? I probably will regift to family, but wanted to see if I should consider selling it? I like my old Macbook because of the keyboard feel, trackpad, legacy ports and upgradability (not a power user). A 2017 Air may be worth something because it's legacy, or worth less because it's legacy. But hey, new in box with shrink wrap intact! Any insights appreciated.

There are people out there who are still fans of the "classic" form-factor. I think the challenge for you will be, (A) finding them and (B) being able to sell it for any decent money without any warranty.

Regifting it family is a good option.

I bought a NIB i7 2017 MBA last year and love it... and will most likely be the last Macbook I own. I don't think I'm the last fan of this classic.

I may just keep it and use it, since my 2012 Macbook Pro and 2012 Mac Mini won't get Big Sur.

Cash For My Mac does have an unopened category for Macs. Might look at selling to a third party Such as them.
