I am curious about how well the MacBook Air 2020 (intel) with the i3, i5, or i7 performs on macOS Sequoia. I updated my M2 MacBook Air to Sequoia, and it runs fine, but the menu tab animations feel a bit slower than on macOS Sonoma, especially when running Safari, although the Apple Stores Macs do not seem to have that problem. The fact that the M2 MacBook Air already shows a light slowdown in that area makes me wonder how the 2020 MacBook Air (Intel) performs on Sequoia. Is it better than the MacBook Air 2019 on Sonoma?

Don’t have 2019 MBA so can’t compare. However, Sequoia runs fine on our 2020 MBA i3 8GB. But we use it mostly for basic computing activities.

I'm running Sequoia on a 2018 13" MacBook Pro and it's absolutely fine.

Early 2020 Intel i5 MBA ... Booting seems slower; everything else is pretty much the same as before Sequoia.

M4 MBP ... very noticeably faster, of course.

Mac Mini Intel Early 2020 16GB helps as it uses 12GB of that. Safari still tends to be memory hog, and takes a minute after waking up system before I can use it. Other than that it's fine.
