My friend gave me a Macbook Air A1237 last February 2015 as it does not continue with the boot process, after pressing the power all i'm getting is the spinning wheel then goes off and the magnet on the charger is broken. Due to hectic schedule, I almost forgot my MBA Air 1237, now i got a magsafe, i have it connected to the wall power supply, light on the charger turned orange then after an hour it turns green signs that battery is charged and waited for another 1 hour to try to turn it on. After pressing the power button nothing happened (no changes on the screen, light on the power button doesnt lit, no audible sound (chime sound), no fan sound, and even harddrive sound). I searched the net and was advised to try SMC however still no luck. Thinking of removing the battery and have it connected directly to the wall power supply just to isolate battery issue. Kindly confirm if i can have my A1237 directly connected to the wall power supply with magsafe but without battery. Appreciate if you could help me turn my A1237 back to life.
