I have my MacBook Air connecter to a Samsung TV thru the display port. It has been working fine and now it will not stay on when the lid is closed on MacBook. Says cable is disconnected. I have tried everything Apple says about turning off sleep mode off.

Do you have the MacBook plugged in as well? Needs to be plugged in if you want to use it with the lid closed

Yes, it was working fine and then it just stopped. Plugged in to power, will display on tv as long as the lid is open. Have tried two separate programs that say they stop it from going to sleep when closed but still stops sending signal to tv.

Clamshell mode requires a monitor, mouse, and keyboard connected to the Mac. Do you have all three?

Edit: as well as the power cable as already mentioned above.

Yes, I had all on Bluetooth didn't work so tried wired and that didn't work.
