I'm a switcher to Mac and got my first MBA.
I feel that the aluminium case, especially on the centre, is pretty soft. If I squeeze the case a little bit when lid is closed, it's slightly curved. Is it normal?
By the way, my MBA is LG screen one which come with ML. I put it near the Samsung one in the store. It look pretty similar :p Moreover, the speaker is surprisingly loud for such thin laptop. Overall, Im satisfied ^^

I would love to tell you how mine feels (that's what she said) but I'm afraid of breaking mine, so let's wait for a brave person for that :p

I have an LG display too and can't see any difference either. People just love complaining that's all. I also have a Toshiba SSD and have no issues whatsoever.

The main part of the case (where the keyboard is), isn't soft (although Aluminum is a relatively soft metal). The top and bottom covers are relatively thin sheets of Aluminum, and they will flex a bit when pressed on, so what you are seeing is normal.
