Hi,

Basically, I bought a '12 MBA about 2 weeks ago, and am a little miffed about the charging times on the thing.

Prior to purchase, when I was looking around at laptops, I read several sources quote that it should take about 5 hours to competely charge an Air's battery.

Now, the last twice i've charged it (from about 4% and 10%) to 100%, in about 2 hours both the magsafe adaptor has changed to a green light and OS X is reporting a fully charged battery.

Now you might think, great, you have a laptop that charges quicker than you expected, but i'm worried about the long term effects on the battery if OS X and the Magsafe adaptor i lying and it's not 100%.

Any enlightenment into this situation would be much appreciated!

Your battery and charger are fine. They don't "lie". This should answer most, if not all, of your battery/charging questions:
