I realised that my Air always consume a lot of battery even in sleep, hence I did a test yesterday to find out how much exactly it consumes.

I left only the VMware on and all other apps closed. There are about 20 items on my desktop. After about 12 hours, my battery life dropped by about 50%.

I'm going to do the test again tonight with all apps closed.

But, can anybody tell me if this is normal?

I was told that I can expect the Air to survive for days or even weeks while in sleep mode.

But at this rate, I don't think it can even survive one day.

What is this problem?

Is it the hardware or software problem?

I would appreciate any help given as this is an Air not bought long ago.
