Macbook Air display problem

Hi, I'm new in this forum also in macintosh..
I have macbook air ehich I gave from my relative in bad conditions,
when I power on the machine, I can hear start up sound, but my macbook air screen show multiple vertical and horizontal lines like in this picture..

when I plug it to external monitor, its no display after all, my external monitor didn't show anything and monitor indicator going to inactive mode.

I hope anyone would like to comment and give solution for this problem.

Well, that definitely doesn't look like something easy or simple to fix. That looks like broken hardware. I think you'll have a better chance of getting help over at ifixit.com
