Hi - I have a new Macbook Air 11" that I connected to a 20" Apple Cinema Display exactly like the one described here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1169715/

...by attaching the USB and connecting the DVI cord with a DVI-mdp adapter. It worked fine for a week or two, but for the past several days my MBA won't recognize the display. When I plug the display in, the Air goes blue for a moment, then back to normal, and the display just stays blank. What's gone wrong?

Try unplugging the power from the monitor and plugging it back in. After that, plug in the video cable to your MacBook Air. That *should* fix it.

Gah - it's doing it again, and unplugging/replugging the power isn't fixing it. Any other thoughts?

The screen still doesn't appear. At first, unplugging/replugging it made the picture come back, but then it went away. Can anyone give me an idea how to fix this?
