MacBook Air does not turn on

I have a MacBook Air 13" purchased at 2010 last quarter.
When i press the start key it makes the usual sound, but the screen/display does not open., it remains black. Any suggestions?

When you say "the usual sound" do you mean the start up chime? or just the fan sound?

Have you done SMC reset and or PRAM reset?

If you've done both above then you're out of luck and may need to bring it back to Apple.
