Hi everyone,
Need some assistance in identifying an SSD interface and finding an enclosure for it so I can recover the user's files.
So the motherboard in thie Macbook Air 13" Early 2015 (i5 w/8GB) has died, client needs her files back and doesn't have another similar macbook to assist.
So I'm on the hunt for an enclosure that will fit this SSD. In the course of trying to figure out what the drive is that I'm dealing with, I was beginning to lean towards it being an mSATA SSD but from looking at the enclosures available for mSATA, the appear to be physically shorter and have 2 screw holes, where as this one has only one.
So the SSD is a Samsung MZ-JPV128S/0A2, can't find a data sheet for it to confirm the interface type, but I'm getting the feeling this is a very Apple specific version of the mSATA that only they used.
Has anyone purchased an enclosure for this SSD before or know what interface it is I'm dealing with?
