Hello everyone. Just a quick question.

I currently have a standard MacBook which only has the Combo Drive and I'm now considering making and burning DVDs.

My question is whether I could buy and use the external USB SuperDrive that is made for the MacBook Air with a standard MacBook?

If this is possible, I would anticipate this to be a cheaper option than having the drive replaced internally, which I'm not even sure is possible.

Any responses would be appreciated.:)

I know for a fact that the Macbook Air Super Drive only works for the MacBook Air. Sorry, I know. I guess Apple wants to keep it for only the Air.
