Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade my macbook at next Macworld. I want a desktop replacement laptop that is powerful to run as such, and also portable to take around with me. I'm either going to opt for a macbook pro, or keep my macbook and get a new iMac.

The macbook air has me lusting after it, however in it's current state it wouldn't make a good desktop replacement.

If it had a 2ghz+ processor, and the SSD was half the price it is now, it would certainly be a lot closer to a desktop replacement. Do you think those things (and more) will be a reality come Macworld 2009?
 
I think the MBA was made for SSD. The decision to design for a 1.8" drive will make a lot of sense by the end of this year when 128GB SSD will be cheaper than the 64 is now.

So, yes, by next Macworld I would guess they will introduce a 128GB SSD option for the same or less $$ than the 64 is today.
