I've had my 1.6ghz (Rev A) Air for a few weeks now. Bought it NEW off Ebay for $1225.

I have to say that it changed the way I use a laptop. I take it everywhere, everyday. It's nice to be able to listen to music from my 500GB MacBook (share) and browse the web, watch YouTube, Top Gear on iTunes, Apple KeyNotes, etc. on the Air, in bed or on the coach. The Air never got too hot and its weight is awesome. I've taken it across the country through many airports. I love being able to video iChat with my girlfriend while away. My girlfriend who is not Mac user, but she is starting to love the Air when she gets her hands on it. I may buy her one just so she don't use mine. hehehehe.....
I didn't buy the SuperDrive and I don't regret it. Remote Disc works BEST on Ethernet. Forget WiFi, it takes forever.

So glad you are enjoying the Air!
I just received the Rev. A as a gift, but I'm making an exchange for Rev. B to be on the safe side of previous horror stories I have heard...
By overall, enjoy! :)

Santa came early :):):) I was good too. I didn't bitch about my Air. :)

I bought a rev B because I just got tired of lugging a MBP through airports and hotels, and I'm frankly amazed at how much easier it is. Three pounds doesn't seem like much, but the difference is substantial in the real world. Even better, I haven't had to sacrifice anything in terms of performance - that's been the biggest surprise.

I love my MBP and don't plan to get rid of it. But I see the MBA eating heavily into my usage pattern - on the road or off.

Very similar experience here; I bought mine back in February, for my birthday. It goes literally everywhere with me. I did buy a superdrive a couple months ago, mostly to watch DVDs with, and to burn the occasional disc.

The only performance issues I have are 3D apps and occasional hiccups when running WinXP on Fusion, tho Fusion 2.0.1 seems to have smoothed out some of that.

My wife constantly wants to borrow it; tempted to get one of the new ones and gift her this one. She'd never use the 3D stuff anyway.

I alway but a new toy in Jan, after macworld, so this time bought it before unless a tablet comes out , I will pick that up too!

Congrats on your wonderful new MBA, and long may you enjoy it. I'm thinking of investing in one myself before too long, so it's always good to get positive feedback.

Cheers and good luck

I liked my Air before I got CoolBook, but the limitations pissed me off. Now with CoolBook, I LOVE it!

So, do you use the MacBook at all anymore? I was considering buying a MacBook Air in addition to a MacBook (alu in this case, but your white is still relevant) but I was thinking it would defeat the purpose, haha.

I use the WhiteBook when my girlfriend has the Air.
