The last few weeks I noticed that some of my keys are duplicating letters, etc. I looked it up and there is the Keyboard Service Program through Apple. I just came back from the Genius Bar and they said I'm a month too late for them to fix it for free and it would cost $348. Has anyone had this problem and is there another fix?

Unfortunately the "butterfly" keyboard on those MacBooks is notoriously prone to failure. From my understanding it's expensive to fix because they have to replace the entire top case of the laptop. That sucks you missed the deadline by that little time.
