Weird thing happened last night. My MacBook Air was closed (clamshell) for the night, while being plugged in through the Apple AV USB C Adapter.

Plugged in the adapter : A screen (which was closed), a usb drive (with Time Machine Backup drive), Apple power adapter.

It has been plugged in all night and I am wondering how do I have only 93% battery this morning.

I know it isn't "Optimized charging" since as you see here, it charged at 100% around midnight.

It isn't a power outage, since you can see on this graph that the MacBook was receiving a charge all night long until 6:50 AM.

It isn't Power Nap doing weird things, since the Apple charger is more than capable of charging the MacBook Air M1 while under use.

So I am wondering how can the MacBook Air lose 7% charge in less than 3 hours doing basically nothing while remaining plugged in to the charger.

This is OK..when battery is fully charged, a special electronics circut disconnect charging circuits. This is in order to prevent overcharging and to improve battery life time.
Have a look here at 6:35
