My Macbook Air is one year old and has always been treated with great care.

Recently I've stumbled on some discolouration around the USB-port I use for charging.

As it is a rather large area I don't know if I should accept this as "battle scars" or contact an Apple Support Center.

What would you advise me to do?

Thanks!

That's not discoloration. That's you trying to plug in the cable without looking. It's a very common issue. I wouldn't think too much about it. If you get a new computer in the future I would suggest you be a little bit more careful when plugging it in.

OK...thanks for your replies
I was used to MagSafe and perhaps I have to pay more attention to my cable attachment style :)
