Macbook Air m1 Outdoor Use

Quick question for those that use your MacBook Air outdoors, How is the brightness?

For reference I have a 6th gen iPad that at full brightness is somewhat usable in sunlight, and a 2009 MacBook pro that is barely usable in the sun and you have to fiddle with where you sit.

I am looking to buy a new MacBook but I use it 50% outside and worried it will be too dim or have too much glare to be suitable.

6th gen 2018 ipad is 500 nits brightness, MBA M1 400 nits, MBP M1 500 nits, IPP 11” 600 nits

iphone XR and 11. 800 nits.

so the new or old MBA will suffer a little more than MBP and greatly from a newer iPhone. It makes sense the iPhone and IPad would have greater brightness then the laptop. They just figure laptops are going to be indoors mostly for use.

Thank you for that IngerMan. Looks like I will have to spend $300 more to get the macbook Pro just for the brighter screen To combat the glare.
