Hi everyone,

I am new to MacBooks but not PC hardware etc and was hoping someone could help me or have some answers for an issue I am having,
I have got a Macbook air A2681 the touch pad and keyboard stopped responding, tried the usual resets etc read online about others having issues also,

I removed the bottom panel and disconected the touch pad and reseated it, i removed the power and battery power todo this. now on reconecting both battery and trackpad it no longer boots.

I get a constant flashing screen with a green light flashing at the top and this is all it will do?

has anyone come accross this issue before or can shed any light on it I would be very greatful.

many thanks
Woody

It sounds like a hardware issue to me. It’s possible you damaged the battery connector or something else when you attempted to reconnect the cables. Unless you’re knowledgeable at testing and repairing computer hardware, I would take it to someone that can do that.

yes i know its a hardware issue, does anyone know if they will boot normally with trackpad disconnected?
