I ordered a MacBook Air (M2, 16gb RAM, 256GB SSD, Midnight) on June 17, 2023, and it said that the expected delivery date to my local Apple Store is July 5th. I checked again today, and it says my MacBook Air has been shipped, but the expected delivery date is still July 5th. Does it normally take that long to ship? Could I possibly get it sooner?

I ordered my 15" Air (16GB/1TB/starlight) on June 17.
In the confirmation mail, they stated delivery June 29-Jul 3. Tracking from UPS said delivery in Denmark today, and I'writing from it now :)
It got shipped from China Jun 20.

My ship date has been updated from July 5th to July 3rd, but I still don't have a tracking number. It's being sent to my local Apple Store, because I'll probably be at work when it would have been delivered, and nobody at home to sign for it.

If I call Apple, should they have a tracking number for it?

Dragon Boat Festival cut a few days from production.

The 2 weeks sounds about right. Half of the wait is assembly and other half delivery.

I placed my order on June 21 and it reckoned July 5 but looking at the tracking it has already 'processed' and now at 'shipping to store' so I wouldn't be surprised to see it available at some point next week
